AAFMED HELPS KAI

Kai

Kai was injured from a bad fall and his owners could not afford to treat him. Kai came into rescue in order to try and save his leg. Currently Kai is in foster care with several other foster 'brothers and sisters' and is doing well. Kai's extensive rehabilitation is currently being done by his foster parents and AAFMED is going to continue to help pay for his rehab. If you are interested in donating for Kai, please contact ARF's German Shepherd Rescue at gsd@arfrescue.com or use the paypal donation button on our home page. Kai is a very sweet and inquisitive GSD puppy who will one day make a great companion for a family!

Kai continues to improve.  The supervising vet was very please with X-Rays taken on Nov 25th. Significant calousing has occured in the fracture site and around the screws.  Kai has been given additional strengthening exercises.  Barring any major set back, the vet believes that Kai will lead a relatively normal lifestyle. He will have arthritis at the break site. The vet recommends that an adopter consider exercise and activities on "softer" surfaces such as grass.          paws
