Arf's German Shepherd Rescue Dogs

HAILEY

This lovely girl is Hailey.  Hailey is a spayed female Australian Shepherd (yes we are still a german shepherd rescue, but as a 'cousin' we simply couldn't resist this girl and she was in need!) mix.  She is  up to date on all shots, housetrained, rides well in the car and is heartworm negative.  Hailey is a delightful companion dog, friendly with all other dogs she's met and is excellent with people.  This quiet affectionate girl loves to take walks and adores her belly rubs!  Her favorite thing to do is SNUGGLE with you!
Hailey is in good health and is looking for her "golden years" home. Hailey has excellent house manners, likes to play and is an active and healthy senior girl.  If you are looking for a happy and affectionate companion, Hailey is the girl for you! Contact the folks at Arf's and ask for Hailey

LUKAS

Lukas is a German Shepherd/Labrador mix. He will be two years old on 5/25/10 and is in need of his forever home.  Lukas has some very special skills as he was in training to be a service dog, however he did not make it due to his shyness around new people.  He should not be placed with children under 12 years of age and will need an understanding home due to his shy nature.  He takes a while to warm up to new people, but once he does, he ADORES them.  He gets along great with other dogs, all size ranges, and did live for a time with a cat.  He will require several meet and greets before placement is considered. Other requirements are a fenced yard.  If you are the forever home for Lukas, please email ARF's for more information!

TIGGER

My name is Tigger and I'll let you in on a little secret.....sshhh....its important...I'm not a German Shepherd....I'm a German Shorthair Pointer by birth!  But my cousins at German Shepherd rescue could not resist helping me out in my search for a forever home!  I am almost seven months old now, weigh in at about 30 lbs and I love other dogs.  I am still a puppy and play too roughly for children under the age of ten.  I won't be a large dog physically, as I will probably top out at 45 to 50 lbs, but I am very friendly, energetic and love to snuggle!  As my name implies, I do 'bounce' around the house and would be a good candidate if you like agility, frisbee, etc.  I am neutered and up to date on my shots for my age group.  I am about the size of a beagle height wise and I have a great BIG personality! I will require a fenced in yard and one obedience class.  So to quote that 'other' famous Tigger.

. .....The wonderful thing about Tiggers.....Is Tiggers are wonderful chaps.....They're loaded with vim and vigor.....They love to leap in your laps.....They're jumpy, bumpy, clumpy, thumpy.....Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun.....But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is.....I'm the only one.....Tiggers are cuddly fellows.....Tiggers are awfully sweet.....Everyone else is jealous..... That's why I repeat.....The wonderful thing about Tiggers.....Is Tiggers are wonderful things.....

So if you think I am a wonderful thing (like my foster mom does) and believe you could be my forever home, please contact ARFs and I'll bounce along to meet you!

 MISKA

My name is MISKA, ( sounds like MEESHKA).  If ya ever wanted a German Shepherd, but they thought   they were too big, I'm for you !!  I am 8 months old, mom says I am 19" tall at my withers (whatever that is!) and I weigh in at 29#.  I am as fast as greased lightning and even smarter than that !!  I love to snuggle up and cuddle and I ring a bell to go out !! I love to ride in the car and just sit and enjoy the scenery. The Cattle dog in me means I like to herd things and can be a bit mouthy (nibbly) so I'm not the dog for youngsters. I focus really good on people, which means I am real easy to train. I would love obedience or agility and bet I would be a winner for you !
I am all black except for a bit of white under my chin and on my chest.

No cats pleeze..........I get along with other dogs as long as they aren't too pushy.  I am  a very active girl so no couch potatoes ??

Miska is UTD and will be adopted on a spay contract with a deposit. She is micro chipped. Please contact Judi for more information and an application.

 HOBBES

  MEET HOBBES !

A wonderful, active seven month old neutered male. Typical puppy, so needs children over 12 please.  He is very focused and knows his basic obedience, though walking on a leash is a work in progress. He is very food motivated and all round, a very good natured dog.  Nice, sound temperament, rides very well in a car . Hobbes ears will stand erect when he is finished teething. He will be a big boy when fully grown, very large boned pup. He has been to Doggy Daycare, so has been socialized with other dogs and enjoys cats.  Someone familiar with German Shepherds would be the best prospect for Hobbes.

Would make a wonderful addition to a family with the time he needs for exercise and training.  If you are interested in Hobbes for a forever home, call or e-mail Judi for an application

He is UTD, neutered , and microchipped
