ARF'S ADOPTION APPLICATION

*Adoption Requirements for the dog are listed below. They are based on our observations about the individual dogs needs and are made after weeks of foster care. If you do not meet the requirements, it means that you would not be eligible to adopt that particular dog.

PANDORA AKA 'PANDI'

Pandi, was one of six puppies who were sealed in a box and abandoned in the woods. Fortunately a deer hunter found the box and rescued them. We estimate that Pandi is about 19 weeks old now and is learning fast. She is almost housetrained and knows sit and down. She is very energetic, but loves to cuddle! We have not yet spayed Pandi as we would like to give her a little bit more time to grow. We estimate she will be about 30-35 lbs fully grown. We do not know anything about her lineage or who was so cruel to dump puppies in a box, seal it up and leave them deep in the woods where apparently they were hoping no one found them.

*Adoption Requirements: Pandi will go out on a spay contract, NO BREEDING contract, fully visible fenced yard and will require two formal obedience classes. We feel, based on her energy she will excel at agility or rally type activity. So if you feel you are ready for Pandi, contact us!

BRANDIE

Brandie is a senior German Shepherd mix and we think she is about 11-12 years of age. She has had a hard and very sad life, but still shows her love and affection to all. Brandie's owner passed away and Brandie stood faithfully by her side until she was discovered. At some point in her past Brandie also had her eye removed because she was shot at. We think her face is gorgeous and if anyone remembers the TV show Columbo, we think she is reminiscent of the Peter Falk character! She loves to be petted and just hang out with you or your other dogs. She is current on her vaccinations, already spayed and looking for her forever home. *ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Brandie will need a loving forever home, someone with some experience with senior dogs, and a fenced yard.

JETT

Jett is a beautiful black sable female, she is five years old and a wonderful house pet and companion. Jett and her owner's small terrier have taken an intense dislike to one another which will result in problems if not separated, the owner has reluctantly made the decision to rehome Jett. She is from East German ancestry and was x-rayed at two, with excellent hips. She is a sweet girl that would do wonderfully in an adult home or with children, 12 or over. She would get along well with a male dog. She loves to play and swim and car rides. If you can offer a forever home for Jett, please call or e-mail Judi. Jett is UTD, on Heartguard , spayed & microchipped.

REQUIREMENTS: FULLY VISIBLE FENCED IN YARD, NO ELECTRIC FENCING, NO CABLE OR ZIP TIE OUTS! NO FEMALE DOGS IN RESIDENCE AND NO SMALL DOGS IN RESIDENCE.

WILLIE

Meet Mickey and Willie. They are 6 year old littermates who lost their family in December. They were given up due to a family change that could not be avoided and their ‘parents’ were devastated when they gave them up. It’s clear that they put a lot of time and love into them as these two boys are in great shape and have A-1 personalities and temperaments. They are well trained, smart and loving.

Mickey is black and tan and is the more confident of the two. He looks out for his brother. He likes toys and tennis balls. He likes to hold his stuffed toy in his mouth and chill. He takes treats gently and gives sweet kisses.

Willie is black with some tan on his paws and is the one who likes to be cuddled with. He also likes toys and tennis balls. He is gentle with treats and kisses too.

Willie has Pannus and has to have eye drops put in twice a day, but he doesn’t mind at all. It is an inexpensive treatment.

These boys are so gentle you can put your hands in their food bowls when they are eating and pretty much do anything and they don’t mind at all. Their temperaments are beyond wonderful. They truly look out for each other and you will see how attached they are to one another. They are extremely good house dogs, never accidents.

MARCO

Meet Marco ! This gorgeous boy is one year old and the most beautiful black & red you will ever see ! He is very active and needs a home where he will have his energy utilized in a positive fashion. He would be an excellent working prospect, he is not a dog for a couch potato. He has a wonderful temperament and very good with people and other dogs, we also think with a little transition period, he would be OK with cats as well. Children over 6 please, he is too active for younger children.

Marco will benefit greatly from obedience training, which would be required by any adopter.

He is neutered, heartworm neg. UTD on vaccinations and micro chipped. Please call or e-mail Judi for an application.
