ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
All specific requirements for individual ARF dogs are listed in their biographies.

Some basics are:

  • Fenced yard - visibly fenced; at least 5 foot tall fencing; no tie-outs, cables or invisible fencing is allowed to adopt an AGSR dog.

  • Obedience class -It's not about if you do or don't know how to train your new GSD, but it is about making the one-hour per week (for four to six weeks) committment to your new canine companion and helping him/her adjust to his/her new forever home.

HOW MUCH WILL MY RESCUE GSD COST?
Arf's German Shepherd Rescue costs based on the dog's age.

We request varying donations for our dogs, please contact us for more information at gsd@arfrescue.com

Make sure to allow 7-10 days after you receive confirmation of receipt of application for processing time.

*Note that your donation is not a fee or a sales price for the dog you adopt from us. All donations go into the general fund to help keep ARF's running.

Adoption Requirements for the ARF's dogs are listed below. They are based on our observations about that particular

dogs needsand are made after weeks of foster care for the dog.  Please do not ask us to forgo a requirement for

a dog, we list requirements for dogs only after careful consideration, observation and several weeks of fostering.

*all ages are given in ranges as to the lowest and highest we feel the dog

is as most are strays and do not arrive with paperwork indicating exact age or vet records.
